Wes Jr.
Updated 02/01/02
This son of mine has taught me more about patience then any one ever could. I have watched him struggle to put a shoe lace in that little hole and never give up. I have seen him work to place a game cartage in his Nintendo and play for hours and never score a point. Then I have watched as he beats all comers on games he has mastered.
Through out his life I have watched him grow and mature into my best friend. I have laugh with him as we watch funny moves, and when he plays treks on Mom. I've cried with joy when he competes and wins. I fell bad when I must leave him behind and go to track because he's ill or it's to cold. I have been so proud when our friends at the track come to me with a big smile and till me how the have just been talking with Wes and their going to play a joke on me or take my car out when I'm not looking. These people take the time to know him and I know that their lives have also been enriched.
But it's said that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Even as a small boy he would capture the harts of many. It's not hard to see why.
From the beginning he was not lazy. The bus below is his daily ride to work.
The motorcycle and sidecar rig is his favorite ride.
It is so hard to pick from the many pics to show you the fun Wes has playing with Chelsee & Jason Jr.
At the track Wes can be seen waving his checkered flag as he cheers for his favored drivers.
You can also hear him BOO when they get beat.
This page is most important to me, I know I can never do the Man justice.
We all know that our "normal" children can fend for themselves with little or no help at all.
It's the Special one's that need our help, understanding and encouragement the most. Thanks to all those people who made this year at the track for Wes.
We shall return.
2001 at the track brought more fun and excitement than last year, with the addition of my youngest son Jason. Wes had continued to impress and captivate more fans harts than the drivers of WD Motorsport. I was not suppressed that Wes was finding to root for just one driver at a time. Even though his brother Jason and I did get most of his cheers his flag waived for many new drivers this year.
Keep coming back and see the new photos as I will have more time to add.
Who are the people in these pics?
They were taken about 1973,'74. The boy being held up is Wes Jr.
Some time back I was sent an email that gave the answer to this question.
But, it was lost.
